On March 3rd, Andru Volinsky proposed a billion-dollar income tax on New Hampshire families.
On May 14, the House had a chance to ban an income tax for good with CACR 12 — which passed
the Senate 16-8 — but all but four Democrats voted it down, and the ban failed 193-148.
That same day, Democrats voted to authorize a progressive income tax in our constitution.
Democrats say they oppose an income tax. Their votes say otherwise. New Hampshire's lack of an
income tax is our greatest economic advantage, and voters deserve to know where their
representatives really stand.
